Before your Belotero treatment, you will meet with a Belladonna specialist to discuss your medical history and what you hope to achieve. If you are sensitive, a numbing gel can be applied before your treatment.

Is Belotero similar to BOTOX?
Belotero and BOTOX are completely different. BOTOX is a neuromodulator that limits facial muscle motions, and Belotero is a dermal filler. The skin retains a high level of flexibility due to the formula, specifically developed to integrate smoothly into the skin structure.
What is the difference between BELOTERO Dermal Filler and other fillers?
BELOTERO Injectable Filler is made of the same material (hyaluronic acid) as some other popular fillers, such as Juvederm.
BELOTERO is better than other dermal fillers for more superficial injection, because it integrates better with the skin and causes fewer bumps and clumps. This injection can create a softer appearance on the skin treated as compared to other fillers.
Additionally, BELOTERO has not been shown to cause a tindel (bluish hue) as other hyaluronic acid fillers have. The versatility of this filler makes it strong enough to feel deep treatment areas such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth), but soft enough to treat more fine areas such as vertical lip lines (tiny lines that appear above the lip line).
Does Belotero have side effects?
Typically, Belotero has no side effects, though in some cases it may cause slight redness, swelling, and itching at the injection site. These minor reactions usually resolve on their own within two or three days.
