- Restylane Silk : While it gained its FDA approval in June 2014 specifically for lips rejuvenation and lines around the mouth. - Resylane Lyft: Restylane Lyft, formerly known as Perlane-L, is an injectable hyaluronic acid gel used to correct loss of volume and treat deep wrinkles in the face. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM RESTYLANE TREATMENT?
Restylane injections cause no significant pain, swelling, or recovery time. Restylane typically take about 30 minutes. A topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment. When Dra Cintron injects the lips, she numbs the area with a painless Lidocaine dental nerve block under the lip. Small amounts of Restylane are injected into precise locations, and in most cases you will be asked to give feedback so that you have control over your final look.
Because this is a non-surgical procedure, there is generally no downtime associated with BELOTERO. In fact, most of our patients are able to return to their normal daily activities right after their visit. Lip Augmentation with injectable fillers: What's different about restylane?
Restylane Silk is a dermal filler designed to help patients achieve plumper, more alluring lips. It is the first FDA-approved filler specifically formulated for augmenting the lips and smoothing wrinkles around the mouth. Lip enhancement with Restylane can give you smooth, soft, fuller lips that look and feel natural. As we grow older, collagen decreases, and we lose the volume of fat under the skin in the face. The lips begin to thin and lose their shape, and vertical lip lines begin to develop around the mouth.
Restylane Silk contains smaller, smoother particles of hyaluronic acid than other dermal fillers. What should I do to reduce swelling and bruising with restyle lip augmentation?
To help minimize swelling and bruising, avoid Aspirin, Excedrin, Aleve, Advil, and ibuprofen for 10 days before treatment. If you need an over-the-counter painkiller, it is okay to use Tylenol. Also avoid vitamin E, fish oil, St. John’s Wort, and other supplements known to thin the blood. Avoid exercising for 24 hours after the procedure. Walking is a safe exercise.
